Catherine Hammerton
I am a Designer and Maker based in South Wales working predominantly in paper and cloth.
My career has spanned commercial textiles, ceramics and lifestyle products alongside small batch produced and handmade wall coverings. I’ve proudly sold and shared these in beautiful stores like Liberty of London, ABC Home and Carpets in New York and Le Bon Marche in Paris amongst others.
I’ve worked on site specific projects for domestic and commercial space, liaising with Interior Designers and Architects on special projects that include bespoke wall coverings and textiles.
My work has been shared in global publications, like Elle Decoration, World of Interiors, Wallpaper and Blueprint magazines, with exhibitions of work in the UK, Europe, USA and UAE.
In between daydreaming, flying kites and planting my kitchen garden I am proud to share my knowledge and experiences with my brilliant students on the BA and MA programmes at UWTSD, Swansea College of Art.
